Air Fryer Bang Bang Chicken


Ingredients:

For the Chicken:

  • Boneless, skinless thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

For the Coating:

  • All-purpose flour
  • Eggs
  • Panko breadcrumbs
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • Salt
  • Pepper

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • Mayonnaise
  • Sweet chili sauce
  • Sriracha (adjust to your preferred spice level)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Chicken:

    • Cut chicken into even-sized pieces for uniform cooking.
    • Season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Set Up the Breading Station:

    • Bowl 1: Add flour.
    • Bowl 2: Whisk eggs.
    • Bowl 3: Add panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Coat the Chicken:

    • Dredge each chicken piece in flour, dip in eggs, then coat in breadcrumbs.
    • Make sure every piece is evenly coated for a crispy texture.
  4. Cook in the Air Fryer:

    • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
    • Place the chicken pieces in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap.
    • Lightly spray with cooking oil.
    • Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crispiness.
  5. Make the Bang Bang Sauce:

    • In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha.
    • Stir until smooth and creamy, adjusting the spice level by adding more sriracha if desired.
  6. Serve:

    • Serve the crispy chicken over steamed rice or noodles.
    • Drizzle the Bang Bang sauce over the chicken and garnish with green onions or sesame seeds.
