Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 1½ cups warm water (115-125 degrees F)
- 2 tablespoons softened butter
- 1 teaspoon table salt
- 4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for kneading
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 teaspoons ranch seasoning
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ⅓ cup crumbled bacon pieces
- 1-2 tablespoons parsley or minced chives, for garnish
- Sea salt flakes, for sprinkling
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, dissolve the sugar and yeast in the warm water. Let stand for 5 minutes, or until foamy.
- Add the butter, salt, and 3 cups of flour. Mix until combined.
- Add additional flour, ¼ cup at a time, until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl and is slightly sticky to the touch.
- Knead the dough for 3-5 minutes, until smooth.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in a warm spot to rise for 15-20 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 20 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a ball and place in the prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, melt the butter and whisk in the ranch seasoning.
- Brush the melted butter mixture over the tops of the rolls.
- Sprinkle the rolls with the shredded cheese, bacon crumbles, and sea salt.
- Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and let the rolls rise in a warm spot for an additional 15-20 minutes.
- Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Brush the rolls with additional melted butter, if desired.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
