Ingredients:

  • Chicken: Bone-in, skin-on thighs or drumsticks (substitute with boneless or other proteins).

  • Dried Fruits: Apricots, raisins, dates (or prunes, figs).

  • Chickpeas: Can be replaced with white beans or lentils.
  • Oil: Olive oil (substitute with vegetable or coconut oil).

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Chicken: Brown chicken pieces and set aside.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: Cook onions, garlic, and carrots until soft.
  3. Add Spices: Stir in spices until fragrant.
  4. Combine: Add chicken, water, olives, preserved lemons, chickpeas, nuts, dried fruits, and honey. Mix gently.
