- 2 cups (16 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese
- Olive oil
- 4 large eggs
- 1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and drained
- ½ cup diced red bell pepper
- Basil, parsley, green onions, chives, or other herbs for garnish (optional)
- Other toppings (optional, see notes)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
- Lightly spray a pizza pan or baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
- Form the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle on the prepared pan.
- Brush the dough with olive oil.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs until well combined.
- Cook the eggs in a skillet over medium heat until scrambled.
- Add the mozzarella cheese to the pizza dough, spreading it out evenly.
- Top the cheese with the scrambled eggs, sausage, and red bell pepper.
- Add more mozzarella cheese to the top, if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the pizza cool slightly before slicing and serving.
- Garnish with fresh herbs, if desired.
Notes:
- You can also add other toppings to your breakfast pizza, such as bacon, ham, mushrooms, onions, or tomatoes.
- If you are using a lot of toppings, you may need to bake the pizza for a few minutes longer.
- Be careful not to overcook the pizza, or the crust will become hard and dry.
Enjoy!
