Easy Breakfast Pizza Recipe

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 store-bought pizza dough (12-inch)
  • 2 cups (16 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Olive oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and drained
  • ½ cup diced red bell pepper
  • Basil, parsley, green onions, chives, or other herbs for garnish (optional)
  • Other toppings (optional, see notes)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  2. Lightly spray a pizza pan or baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Form the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle on the prepared pan.
  4. Brush the dough with olive oil.
  5. In a bowl, whisk the eggs until well combined.
  6. Cook the eggs in a skillet over medium heat until scrambled.
  7. Add the mozzarella cheese to the pizza dough, spreading it out evenly.
  8. Top the cheese with the scrambled eggs, sausage, and red bell pepper.
  9. Add more mozzarella cheese to the top, if desired.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Let the pizza cool slightly before slicing and serving.
  12. Garnish with fresh herbs, if desired.

Notes:

  • You can also add other toppings to your breakfast pizza, such as bacon, ham, mushrooms, onions, or tomatoes.
  • If you are using a lot of toppings, you may need to bake the pizza for a few minutes longer.
  • Be careful not to overcook the pizza, or the crust will become hard and dry.
