Cheeseburger Egg Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup pickles, diced
  • 1/4 cup red or green bell peppers, chopped (optional)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 egg (optional, for egg wash)

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder until browned. Drain any excess fat.

  2. Stir in the chopped onions and cook until softened. Remove from heat.

  3. Add shredded cheddar cheese, mustard, ketchup, and diced pickles to the beef mixture. Mix until evenly combined.

  4. Lay out an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface. Place a heaping tablespoon of the beef mixture onto the wrapper.

  5. Fold in the sides of the wrapper and roll tightly, sealing the edge with a bit of water or egg wash (if using).

  6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).

  7. Fry the egg rolls in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch.

  8. Drain the fried egg rolls on paper towels to remove excess oil.

  9. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Enjoy these delicious cheeseburger egg rolls as a fun twist on a classic dish!
