Orange Thyme Tahini Dressing


Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup Tahini
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp Honey
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Thyme (chopped, or use Za’atar as a substitute)
  • 1 Orange (juice and zest)
  • 1/2 Lemon (juiced)
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    In a jar with a lid, combine the following:

    • Tahini
    • Balsamic vinegar
    • Orange juice and zest
    • Lemon juice
    • Minced garlic
    • Fresh thyme (or Za’atar)
    • Honey
    • About 1/4 tsp salt
  2. Shake:
    Secure the lid tightly and shake the jar vigorously until all the ingredients are well combined.

  3. Taste and Adjust:
    Open the jar and taste the dressing. Adjust the seasoning as needed, adding more salt, pepper, or honey if desired.

  4. Adjust Consistency:
    If the dressing is too thick, you can thin it out by adding a bit more water or lemon juice, depending on your preference.


Notes:

  • Storage: This dressing keeps well in the fridge for up to a week. Just give it a shake before using as it may separate over time.
  • Versatility: This dressing pairs wonderfully with salads, roasted vegetables, grain bowls, or as a dip for crackers or pita.
