- 20 white button mushrooms, cleaned
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- Additional salt and pepper to season the flour
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with nonstick foil.
- In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In a separate shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and minced garlic.
- In another shallow dish, place the flour and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Make sure the mushrooms are completely dry.
- Dredge each mushroom in the flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the breaded mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet.
- Lightly spray the breaded mushrooms with cooking spray.
- Bake the mushrooms for 12-16 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Tips:
- For extra crispy mushrooms, double dredge them in the flour and breadcrumb mixture.
- To make sure the mushrooms are completely dry, pat them dry with a paper towel before breading.
- If you don't have cooking spray, you can brush the mushrooms with melted butter or oil before baking.
- Serve the breaded mushrooms with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or barbecue sauce.
Enjoy!
