Baked Breaded Garlic Mushrooms

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 20 white button mushrooms, cleaned
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Additional salt and pepper to season the flour
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with nonstick foil.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In a separate shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and minced garlic.
  4. In another shallow dish, place the flour and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Make sure the mushrooms are completely dry.
  6. Dredge each mushroom in the flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
  7. Place the breaded mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Lightly spray the breaded mushrooms with cooking spray.
  9. Bake the mushrooms for 12-16 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Tips:

  • For extra crispy mushrooms, double dredge them in the flour and breadcrumb mixture.
  • To make sure the mushrooms are completely dry, pat them dry with a paper towel before breading.
  • If you don't have cooking spray, you can brush the mushrooms with melted butter or oil before baking.
  • Serve the breaded mushrooms with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or barbecue sauce.

Enjoy!
