CHICKEN CRESCENT ROLL UPS

 

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups cooked and shredded chicken
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons minced onion
  • 2 packages (8 rolls each) crescent rolls
  • Chicken gravy, any kind

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chicken, cream cheese, butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, milk, and onion.
  3. Unroll the crescent rolls and form each pair into a rectangle.
  4. Place a scoop of the chicken mixture in the center of each rectangle and pinch the sides together to seal.
  5. Place the filled crescent rolls on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Serve immediately with warm chicken gravy.

Here are some additional tips:

  • For a crispier crust, brush the tops of the crescent rolls with melted butter before baking.
  • If you want to add more vegetables to the recipe, you can stir in some chopped carrots, celery, or broccoli to the chicken mixture.
  • To make your own chicken gravy, simply whisk together some chicken broth, flour, and butter in a saucepan until thickened.
