Ingredients:
- 2-3 slices of soft bread (depending on size and thickness)
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons Greek yogurt
- 2-3 teaspoons maple syrup or honey
Toppings:
- Handful of fresh raspberries
- 10g dark chocolate chips
- Optional: drizzle of maple syrup
Instructions:
Preheat your air fryer or oven to 180°C/350°F.
Prepare Custard Mixture:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, Greek yogurt, and maple syrup (or honey) to form a liquid custard.
Prepare Bread:
- Using your fingers or the back of a spoon/fork, press into the center of each bread slice to indent and create a well without cutting through.
Add Custard and Toppings:
- Spoon the custard mixture into the indented wells on the bread slices.
- Top with fresh raspberries and dark chocolate chips.
Cooking Method:
Air Fryer:
- Place the prepared bread slices in the air fryer.
- Cook at 180°C/350°F for 4-5 minutes until the custard is set and starting to caramelize on the edges.
Oven:
- Place the prepared bread slices on an oven tray lined with baking paper.
- Bake at 180°C/350°F for 8-12 minutes, depending on your oven strength, until the custard is set and starting to caramelize on the edges.
Serve:
- Once cooked, serve the Custard Yogurt Toast warm.
- Optionally, drizzle with a bit more maple syrup before serving.
Notes:
- The custard mixture can accommodate between 2-3 slices of bread, depending on their size and thickness.
