Ingredients:
For the Breadstick Dough:
- 3 ¼ cups (403g) all-purpose flour (start with 2 cups and add more as needed)
- 1 envelope (2 1/4 teaspoons) Fleischmann’s® RapidRise Yeast
- 1 tablespoon (13g) granulated sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- 1 ⅓ cups (316ml) very warm water (120°-130°F, like hot bathwater)
- ⅓ cup (79ml) olive oil
For the Topping:
- 3 tablespoons (45ml) olive oil
- 1 tablespoon dry ranch seasoning mix
- 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese
- Pizza sauce, for dipping
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Prepare Dough:
- In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, undissolved yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Add very warm water (120°-130°F) and 1/3 cup olive oil; mix until well blended, about 1 minute.
- Slowly add enough additional flour to make a soft dough. The dough will form a ball and be slightly sticky.
Knead Dough:
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead, adding more flour as necessary, until the dough is smooth and elastic. This will take about 1 minute with an electric mixer or about 4 minutes by hand.
- To knead, add just enough flour to keep your hands from sticking. Flatten the dough and roll it towards you; push it away with the heels of your hands in a rolling motion. Rotate and repeat until a soft and elastic dough ball forms.
Prepare Pan and Assemble:
- Drizzle the bottom of a pizza pan or baking sheet with olive oil. Pat the dough with floured hands to fit the pan to your desired thinness.
Prepare Topping:
- In a small bowl, stir together 3 tablespoons of olive oil and ranch seasoning mix. Brush this mixture evenly over the dough.
Add Cheese and Bake:
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Baking time may vary depending on the thickness of the dough.
Serve:
- Cut into breadsticks and serve warm with pizza sauce for dipping.
