Sticky glazed sausages and onion rings

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 x 400g pack Taste the Difference pork sausages
  • 2 large onions, peeled and cut into even slices about 1.5cm thick
  • 4 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp Chinese five spice

Instructions:

  1. Get Ahead:

    • Soak bamboo skewers in water for at least 1 hour before grilling.
  2. Prepare the Grill:

    • Preheat your barbecue or grill.
  3. Skewer and Grill:

    • Thread the sausages onto two sets of two parallel skewers, "plank style". Do the same with the onion slices.
  4. Make the Glaze:

    • In a bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard, soy sauce, honey, and Chinese five spice to create the glaze.
  5. Grill with Glaze:

    • Cook the skewered sausages and onion slices on the preheated grill for 25-30 minutes.
    • During grilling, turn the skewers occasionally and brush them with the prepared glaze every few minutes.
  6. Serve:

    • Once cooked through and nicely glazed, slide off the skewers and arrange on a serving platter.
