Beer Cheese Dip Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup beer
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions:

  1. Make the roux: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  2. Add liquids: Gradually whisk in beer and milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  3. Add cheese: Reduce heat to low and stir in Gruyère and cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  4. Season: Stir in Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Serve: Serve immediately with your favorite dippers, like pretzels, crackers, or vegetables.
