- 175g buttermilk
For the Cinnamon Swirl:
- 50g unsalted butter, softened
- 50g brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions:
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.

- Assemble muffins: Spoon batter into muffin tins, filling them about 2/3 full. Drop dollops of cinnamon swirl mixture on top of the batter. Swirl with a knife or toothpick.
- Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool: Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Optional Additions:
- For extra flavor: Add chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts, pecans) or dried fruit (e.g., raisins, cranberries) to the batter.
- For a richer flavor: Use a combination of butter and oil.
- For a healthier twist: Use whole wheat flour and a natural sweetener like honey or maple syrup.
