Spooky Halloween Skull Potatoes


Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds small potatoes (like Yukon Gold or Red Bliss)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme), for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare potatoes: Wash and dry potatoes. Carve spooky faces into the potatoes.
  3. Season potatoes: In a bowl, combine olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Toss potatoes in the mixture to coat.
  4. Roast potatoes: Place potatoes on the prepared baking sheet, face up. Roast for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown and tender.
  5. Serve: Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately.

Optional Additions:

  • For extra flavor, add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup to the potatoes before baking.
  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning mixture.
  • For a cheesy twist, top the potatoes with shredded cheese before baking.
