CINNAMON APPLE BREAKFAST QUINOA POWER PORRIDGE


Ingredients:

For the Porridge:

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ cup quinoa (rinsed)
  • 1 small apple (diced)
  • 6 tablespoons hemp seeds
  • 2 tablespoons ground flax seed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)

For Toppings:

  • 4 tablespoons almond butter
  • Ground cinnamon
  • A splash of almond milk
  • Sliced apples

Instructions:

  1. Cook the quinoa:

    • In a small saucepan, bring almond milk, quinoa, diced apple, and sea salt to a boil over high heat. Stir to combine.
    • Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for 18-20 minutes, or until most of the liquid is absorbed.
  2. Mix in the seeds and flavorings:

    • Remove the pan from heat. Stir in the hemp seeds, ground flax, cinnamon, and maple syrup (if using).
  3. Serve:

    • Spoon the porridge into a dish and top with almond butter, a sprinkle of cinnamon, sliced apples, and a splash of almond milk if desired.
  4. Enjoy:

    • Serve warm and enjoy your wholesome, nutrient-packed breakfast!
