Ingredients:
- 4 ripe avocados
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/2 tomato, seeded and chopped
- 1 jalapeño pepper, minced (optional)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 red onion, finely diced
- 1/2 cup cilantro leaves, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, mash the avocados with a fork until they reach your desired consistency.
- Stir in the lime juice, tomato, jalapeño (if using), garlic, red onion, and cilantro.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dippers, such as tortilla chips, pita bread, or crackers.
Tips:
- For a smoother guacamole, mash the avocados with a potato masher or food processor.
- If you like your guacamole spicy, add more jalapeño pepper to taste.
- To prevent the guacamole from browning, cover it with a layer of plastic wrap pressed directly onto the surface of the guacamole.
- Guacamole can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Enjoy!
