BLUEBERRY LEMONADE

 


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 6 lemons)
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the blueberries and lemon juice. Cook, stirring occasionally, until most of the blueberries have popped, about 7 minutes.
  2. Remove from the heat and strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher. Press on the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much blueberry puree as possible.
  3. Add the water and sugar to the pitcher and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Chill until ready to serve.
