Ingredients:
For the Stir-Fry:
- 3 ounces beef, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 celery stalks, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
For the Chinese Sauce:
- 3/4 cup beef stock
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tsp pepper
- Pinch of ginger powder
Instructions:
Marinate the Beef:
- In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with 1 tbsp cornstarch and 1 tbsp water. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
Cook the Beef:
- Heat 2 tbsp sesame oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef and sauté until cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce:
- In a bowl, combine beef stock, soy sauce, oyster sauce, 1 tbsp cornstarch, water, pepper, and a pinch of ginger powder. Mix well to dissolve the cornstarch.
Stir-Fry the Vegetables:
- In the same pan, add a little more sesame oil if needed. Add diced onion, minced garlic, red bell pepper, celery, and broccoli.
- Stir-fry the vegetables until they are cooked but still crunchy.
Combine and Serve:
- Pour the prepared sauce into the pan with the vegetables.
- Return the cooked beef to the pan and toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles, if desired.
