Ingredients:
Oatmeal:
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
Topping:
- 2 tablespoons
melted butter - 3 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
Glaze:
- 1 ounce softened cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 5 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C). Grease an 8×8" baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together milk, brown sugar, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir in oats.
- Pour the oatmeal mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- In a small bowl, combine the topping ingredients. Sprinkle evenly over the oatmeal mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the oatmeal is set and the topping is golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before adding the glaze.
- In a small bowl, beat together cream cheese, milk, vanilla extract, and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled oatmeal.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
