Spaghetti Steak Recipe

Ingredients

  • 200 grams spaghetti
  • 2 steaks (your choice)
  • Salt and black pepper
  • Steak spice (your preference)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, sliced

Instructions

Step 1: Prep Your Ingredients

  • Remove the steaks from the fridge at least 10 minutes before cooking. Gather your seasonings, butter, garlic, and olive oil.

Step 2: Cook the Pasta

  • Boil a large pot of water. Once boiling, generously salt the water and add the spaghetti. Cook until al dente, then drain and set aside.

Step 3: Cook the Garlic and Spaghetti

  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Once heated, add the sliced garlic. Gently swirl the pan or lift it slightly to avoid burning the garlic, cooking until it’s lightly golden.
  • Add the steak spice and mix it with the garlic. Immediately add the cooked spaghetti, tossing with tongs to combine. Remove from heat.

Step 4: Cook the Steaks

  • Season the steaks generously on both sides. In a hot skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Once the fats are hot, add the steaks, laying them down away from you to avoid splashes. Cook without turning for 4-5 minutes for medium to well done.
  • Flip the steaks and, if desired, render the fat by holding the fat side down in the butter for a few seconds. Reduce heat and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or to your liking.

Step 5: Basting

  • In the last minute, use a spoon to baste the top of the steak with the hot oil. Remove the steaks and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Step 6: Serve

  • Place the cooked spaghetti on plates and slice the steaks. For added flavor, toss the steak slices back into the pan briefly to soak up the oil, then pour the steak and remaining oil over the spaghetti.
  • Finish with cracked black pepper and a sprinkle of your favorite steak seasoning.

Enjoy your delicious spaghetti with garlic steak!
