Ingredients:
For the French Toast:
- 24 Hawaiian rolls, cut horizontally and into sections of 4 rolls
- 3 eggs
- 2/3 cup heavy cream or half and half
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
For the Scrambled Eggs:
- 8 eggs
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons hot sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper
- 1 pound bacon, cooked crispy
- 4 slices cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
- Prepare French toast batter: Whisk together eggs, cream, cinnamon, and sugar in a shallow dish.
- Cook French toast: Heat butter in a large skillet over low heat. Dip French toast slices into batter and cook for 2 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Top with cheese and set aside.
- Scramble eggs: In the same skillet, increase heat to medium-low. Add butter, eggs, heavy cream, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Scramble until cooked through.
- Assemble sandwiches: Place scrambled eggs and bacon on bottom buns. Top with French toast slices and remaining bun. Serve with syrup, if desired.
Tips:
- For a richer flavor: Use a combination of heavy cream and milk for the French toast batter.
- Customize the filling: Add other ingredients to the scrambled eggs, such as sautéed vegetables or shredded cheese.
- Make ahead: Prepare the French toast and scrambled eggs in advance and assemble the sandwiches just before serving.
