Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf


Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Topping:

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bacon, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion, garlic, eggs, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Shape Loaf: Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
  4. Prepare Topping: In a small bowl, combine ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar.
  5. Top and Bake: Spread the topping over the meatloaf. Bake for 1 hour, or until a thermometer inserted into the center reads 165°F (74°C).
  6. Rest and Serve: Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Tip: For a more flavorful meatloaf, try adding some chopped fresh herbs like parsley or thyme to the meatloaf mixture.
