Ingredients:
For the Marinade:
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons grated ginger
- 3 minced garlic cloves
For the Salmon and Assembly:
- 2 (4 ounce) skin-on, boneless salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons chili crisp (optional)
- 1 tablespoon dry roasted peanuts, minced
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
- 1 thinly sliced green onion
Instructions:
- Make the Marinade: Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic in a small bowl.
- Marinate the Salmon: Cut shallow slits into the salmon fillets, being careful not to cut through the skin. Place the fillets in a resealable bag, pour half the marinade over them, and seal the bag. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
- Air Fry the Salmon: Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the marinated salmon fillets, skin-side down, in the basket, curling the fillets slightly. Spray the tops with cooking spray. Air fry at 380°F for 8 minutes.
- Make the Glaze: While the salmon is cooking, pour the remaining marinade into a small pot and simmer for 5-6 minutes to reduce. Stir in chili crisp, if using.
- Serve: Remove the salmon from the air fryer and serve skin-side down with steamed rice. Drizzle with the reduced marinade, and top with peanuts, sesame seeds, and green onions.
