Ingredients:
- ⅔ cup (150g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons (30g) cocoa powder
- 2 cups (240g) powdered sugar
- 4-6 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
- In a large bowl using an electric mixer, beat the butter until soft and creamy.
- Mix in the honey, vanilla extract, and salt until combined.
- With the mixer on low speed, mix in the cocoa powder until just combined.
- Add the powdered sugar a little at a time, alternating with a tablespoon of milk, until the frosting reaches the desired sweetness and consistency.
- Frost cooled brownies or other baked goods.
Notes:
- For a richer chocolate flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
- If you want a thinner frosting, add more milk.
- If you want a thicker frosting, add less milk.
- The frosting can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- To bring the frosting to room temperature, let it sit on the counter for about 30 minutes before using.
