Ingredients:
- 4 slices of bacon or 2 frozen sausage patties
- 2 bagels, sliced in half
- 2 eggs
- 2 slices of cheese
- Avocado slices and salsa for topping, if desired
Instructions:
- Prepare bacon or sausage in a skillet according to package directions.
- Once cooked, remove from skillet and keep warm.
- Drain excess grease from the skillet but do not wipe it clean.
- Place the bagel halves sliced-side down in the skillet and toast over medium heat until lightly browned.
- Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Cook eggs in the same skillet to your preference (recommended: over-easy or over-medium).
- Layer each breakfast sandwich as follows: bottom bagel slice, half of the cooked meat, one cooked egg, a slice of cheese, toppings as desired, and the top bagel slice.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
