Juicy chicken tenderloins pan-seared with garlic, butter, and herbs—ready in under 20 minutes! This quick and flavorful recipe is perfect for busy weeknights.
🛒 Ingredients
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
2 tbsp butter, divided
-
1 lb (450g) chicken tenderloins (aka mini chicken fillets)
-
2 tsp paprika
-
½ tsp salt
-
¼ tsp black pepper
-
4 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
-
1 tsp Italian seasoning
-
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
🔪 Instructions
-
Heat the Pan
In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. -
Season & Sear the Chicken
Add chicken tenderloins to the skillet. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
Sear for 3 minutes per side, or until golden and almost cooked through. -
Add Garlic & Herbs
Push chicken to the sides of the skillet. Melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter in the center and add minced garlic.
Cook for 30 seconds, just until fragrant—don’t let it burn.
Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning and cook for another minute, stirring gently. -
Deglaze the Pan
Pour in 2 tablespoons of water to deglaze the pan. Scrape up the browned bits on the bottom with a wooden spoon—this adds tons of flavor. -
Finish & Serve
Garnish with chopped parsley or fresh basil. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
🔥 Pro Tips
-
Don’t overcook garlic: Burnt garlic becomes bitter—only sauté until just fragrant.
-
Check internal temp: Chicken tenderloins cook quickly. Use a meat thermometer to check for 165°F (74°C).
-
Deglaze for flavor: Those browned bits at the bottom? That’s where the magic happens—don’t skip the water splash!
