- 1/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
- Prepare bread: Cut stale bread into large cubes.
- Make custard: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, pumpkin purée, milk, vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
- Assemble casserole: Spray a 2-quart casserole or 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray. Place bread cubes in the prepared baking dish. Pour custard mixture over bread. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.
