Ambrosia Salad


Ingredients:

  • 1 (20 oz) can pineapple tidbits, drained
  • 1 (15 oz) can Mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 cup maraschino cherries, drained
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup light sour cream
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 3/4 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup green grapes, halved

Instructions:

  1. Drain Fruit: Drain the pineapple, mandarin oranges, and maraschino cherries. Rinse the cherries with cold water.
  2. Whip Cream: In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold in Ingredients: Gently fold in the sour cream, marshmallows, coconut, pecans, grapes, pineapple, mandarin oranges, and cherries.
  4. Chill: Chill the salad for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight.
  5. Serve: Serve chilled, garnished with additional coconut and pecans if desired.
