Creamy Coffee Smoothie with Almond Butter (No Banana)


Ingredients

  • Base:
    • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
    • 2 cups espresso shots (or strong brewed coffee)
  • Add-ins:
    • 2 scoops chocolate moondust protein powder
    • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
    • 2 tablespoons almond butter
    • 1 tablespoon flaxseed
    • Ice cubes (to your desired consistency)
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
    • ¼ cup ice water (or as needed)
    • 2 tablespoons raw honey (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Blend Base: In a high-speed blender, combine the unsweetened almond milk and espresso shots.

  2. Add Ingredients: Add the chocolate protein powder, chia seeds, almond butter, flaxseed, and ice cubes.

  3. Blend Smooth: Blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add a little ice water and blend again.

  4. Adjust Sweetness: Taste the smoothie. If you prefer it sweeter, drizzle raw honey into the glass and mix it in.

  5. Serve: Pour into serving glasses and optionally top with a sprinkle of chia seeds or cocoa nibs. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Chia Seeds: Using ¼ cup will yield a thick, creamy consistency. For a thinner texture, use less.
  • Storage: If left in the fridge, the chia seeds will thicken the smoothie, giving it a mousse-like texture!
