Ingredients
- Base:
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 2 cups espresso shots (or strong brewed coffee)
- Add-ins:
- 2 scoops chocolate moondust protein powder
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 2 tablespoons almond butter
- 1 tablespoon flaxseed
- Ice cubes (to your desired consistency)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- ¼ cup ice water (or as needed)
- 2 tablespoons raw honey (to taste)
Instructions
Blend Base: In a high-speed blender, combine the unsweetened almond milk and espresso shots.
Add Ingredients: Add the chocolate protein powder, chia seeds, almond butter, flaxseed, and ice cubes.
Blend Smooth: Blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add a little ice water and blend again.
Adjust Sweetness: Taste the smoothie. If you prefer it sweeter, drizzle raw honey into the glass and mix it in.
Serve: Pour into serving glasses and optionally top with a sprinkle of chia seeds or cocoa nibs. Enjoy!
Notes
- Chia Seeds: Using ¼ cup will yield a thick, creamy consistency. For a thinner texture, use less.
- Storage: If left in the fridge, the chia seeds will thicken the smoothie, giving it a mousse-like texture!
