Air Fryer Steak

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 sirloin steaks, 1 inch thick (1 1/2 lbs total)
  • Olive oil spray  
Optional additions:
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs (e.g., rosemary, thyme)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Prep steak: Combine garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Spray steaks with olive oil and coat both sides with the spice mixture. Add optional ingredients if desired.
  2. Preheat air fryer: Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Air fry: Place steaks in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 10-12 minutes per side, or until desired level of doneness is reached. Use a meat thermometer to check internal temperature:
    • Medium-rare: 130°F (54°C)
    • Medium: 145°F (63°C)
    • Medium-well: 160°F (71°C)
  4. Rest and serve: Let steaks rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Optional additions:

  • For extra flavor: Add chopped herbs (e.g., rosemary, thyme) or red pepper flakes to the spice mixture.
  • For a richer texture: Use a combination of olive oil and butter to coat the steaks.
  • For a spicier kick: Increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
