Slow Cooker Apple Kielbasa Bites


Ingredients:

  • 1 pound kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 2 apples, cored and chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Optional: 1/4 cup red onion, diced

Instructions:

  1. Prep Slow Cooker: Spray the slow cooker with cooking spray.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Place kielbasa slices in the slow cooker. In a bowl, combine apples, brown sugar, apple cider, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture over the kielbasa.
  3. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
  4. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Optional Additions:

  • For extra flavor: Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the apple mixture.
  • For a spicier kick: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a chopped jalapeño pepper.
  • For a richer flavor: Add a tablespoon of butter or a splash of maple syrup to the apple mixture.
