Ingredients:
- 1 pound kielbasa sausage, sliced
- 2 apples, cored and chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
- Optional: 1/4 cup red onion, diced
Instructions:
- Prep Slow Cooker: Spray the slow cooker with cooking spray.
- Combine Ingredients: Place kielbasa slices in the slow cooker. In a bowl, combine apples, brown sugar, apple cider, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture over the kielbasa.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Optional Additions:
- For extra flavor: Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the apple mixture.
- For a spicier kick: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a chopped jalapeño pepper.
- For a richer flavor: Add a tablespoon of butter or a splash of maple syrup to the apple mixture.
