Ingredients:
For the Chicharrones:
- 1 lb pork belly (cut into cubes)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
For the Guacamole:
- 2 ripe avocados (mashed)
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 1 lime (juiced)
- 1 tomato (diced)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Step 1: Fry the Chicharrones
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the pork belly cubes and fry them until crispy and golden brown, about 10-12 minutes.
- Once crispy, drain the chicharrones on paper towels and season with salt to taste.
Step 2: Make the Guacamole
- In a bowl, mash the avocados until smooth.
- Add the chopped onion, diced tomato, lime juice, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir everything together until well combined.
Step 3: Serve
- Serve the crispy chicharrones with the freshly made guacamole on the side for dipping.
