How To Make Pizza Skulls

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm water (95-110 degrees F)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (or any cooking oil)
  • 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or pizza blend)
  • 1 cup pepperoni, cut into quarters

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a mini skull baking tin with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let stand for 5-10 minutes, or until frothy.
  3. Stir in olive oil, salt, and 1 1/2 cups flour. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Add remaining flour, 1/4 cup at a time, until dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
  5. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, or until smooth.
  6. Roll dough out into a rectangle that is large enough to cover the skull cavities in the baking tin.
  7. Cut out skull shapes from the dough using a cookie cutter or a sharp knife.
  8. Place each skull shape in a cavity in the baking tin.
  9. Top each skull with pizza sauce, cheese, and pepperoni.
  10. Pinch the edges of the dough together to seal the skull pockets.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the skull pockets are golden brown.
  12. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Enjoy!
