Immune Boosting Winter Citrus Smoothie.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons fresh grated ginger
  • 1 small raw red beet, chopped
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 cara cara orange, blood orange, or grapefruit, peeled and segmented
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate juice
  • Honey to taste (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a blender, combine the frozen mango chunks, lemon juice, ground turmeric, ground cayenne pepper, grated ginger, and fresh squeezed orange juice. 

  2. Blend until completely smooth. If desired, add honey to sweeten to taste. Pour this mango mixture into a tall glass.

  3. Rinse out the blender. Combine the chopped raw beet, frozen raspberries, peeled and segmented orange (cara cara, blood orange, or grapefruit), and pomegranate juice in the blender. 

  4. Blend until smooth and creamy, adjusting the consistency with more pomegranate juice if needed.

  5. Carefully pour the blended beet mixture over the mango mixture in the glass. 

  6. Stir gently with a spoon to create a swirl effect.

  7. Optionally, top with seeds (such as pomegranate seeds) for garnish.

  8. Enjoy your vibrant and nutritious smoothie!
