Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
  • 1 (14-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil (optional)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 cup red wine (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Sauté vegetables: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

  4. Serve: Pour sauce over cooked pasta. Garnish with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese (if using).

Optional additions:

  • For extra flavor: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.
  • For a smoky flavor: Add a teaspoon of smoked paprika.
  • For a tangy kick: Add a tablespoon of lemon juice or orange zest.
  • For additional vegetables: Add diced mushrooms or zucchini.
