Puff Pastry Jam Tarts


Ingredients:

  • 500 grams frozen puff pastry sheets
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 125 grams brie cheese
  • 1/2 cup jam (your choice)
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme for garnish
  • Icing sugar for sprinkling
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

Instructions:

  1. Thaw pastry: Thaw puff pastry sheets according to package directions.
  2. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 380°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Prepare pastry: Roll out thawed pastry sheets on a floured surface. Cut into squares.
  4. Assemble: Place one square on top of another. Add a dollop of jam and a slice of brie cheese.
  5. Bake: Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Serve: Serve immediately, topped with fresh herbs and icing sugar.

Optional additions:

  • For extra flavor: Add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the jam.
  • For a smoky flavor: Add a pinch of smoked paprika to the jam.
  • For a tangy kick: Add a tablespoon of lemon juice or orange zest to the jam.
  • For additional toppings: Add chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.
