  • 1 cup cooked brown rice

  • ½ cup nonfat or 1% milk

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 cup chopped fruit

    • (Try a mix! Apples, bananas, raisins, berries, or peaches all work great)

  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts

    • (Walnuts or almonds are perfect)

  1. Wash Up:
    Wash hands with soap and water.

  2. Prep the Fruit:
    Rinse or scrub all fresh fruits under running water before chopping or slicing.

  3. Heat the Rice Mixture:
    In a microwave-safe bowl, combine:

    • 1 cup cooked brown rice

    • ½ cup milk

    • ½ tsp cinnamon
      Microwave on HIGH for 45 seconds. Stir, then heat for an additional 45 to 60 seconds, or until warmed through.
