White Chocolate Bark with Candied Ginger & Pistachios

White Chocolate Bark with Ginger, Pistachio & Orange

🍫 Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ pounds white chocolate (chopped)

  • 1 cup candied ginger (diced)

  • 1 cup roasted pistachios

  • Zest of 1 large orange (grated or in strips)

  • 1 dash flaky salt (to taste)

📝 Directions:

  1. Prepare your workspace
Line a rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

  2. Melt the white chocolate

    • Microwave Method: Place the chopped white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 20-30 second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted.

    • Double Boiler Method: Place the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water. Stir until melted and smooth.

  3. Spread the chocolate
Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared sheet pan. Use an offset spatula to spread the chocolate evenly across the entire surface of the pan.

  4. Add toppings
Evenly sprinkle the candied ginger, roasted pistachios, and orange zest over the melted chocolate. Sprinkle a light dash of flaky salt to enhance the flavors.

  5. Chill to set
Place the sheet pan in the fridge or freezer for about 1 hour or until the chocolate is completely firm.

  6. Break into pieces
Once the bark is fully set, break it into irregular pieces for a rustic look.

🍽️ Perfect Pairings:

  • Serve with a warm cup of spiced chai or white wine for a cozy treat.

  • Pair with a mild cheese like brie to balance the sweetness.

Pro Tips:

  • Add a touch of crystallized orange peel for an extra citrusy zing.

  • For a smoother texture, ensure the chocolate is evenly spread without any air bubbles.
