Air Fryer Cajun Chicken Traybake


🌶️ Cajun Chicken Air Fryer Traybake

🍗 Ingredients

  • 650 g chicken breast, diced (approx. 4 breasts)

  •  2 tsp Cajun spice mix (see notes)

  • 2 green peppers, deseeded and cut into 2 cm cubes

  •  4 celery sticks, cut into small chunks

  • 1 brown onion, peeled and cut into 2 cm cubes

  •  1 tbsp sunflower oil


🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat & prep:
    Add all the ingredients to your air fryer basket or a liner/tray, and stir well to coat everything in the oil and spice.

  2. Cook:
    Air fry at 200°C (390°F) for 20–25 minutes, shaking the basket vigorously halfway through.

  3. Check doneness:
    Chicken should be fully cooked through with a golden edge. If any liquid collects at the bottom, you can spoon it over the traybake or discard it.


📝 Notes & Tips

  • Cajun spice mix:
    Use a standard supermarket jar blend. Spice levels vary, so if you’re unsure, start with 1 tsp and add more after tasting.

  • Air fryer basket with a slotted base?
    You can:

    • Remove the base (if possible)

    • Use a liner or tray

    • Or cook directly in the basket — it will just be a little less juicy.
