🔥 Instructions
-
Prep the Garlic

-
Grind Garlic & Salt
-
In a mortar and pestle (or food processor), grind the garlic with a pinch of sea salt until it forms a smooth paste.

Add basil leaves gradually, pounding or pulsing until fully combined into a vibrant green paste.
-
-
Incorporate Olive Oil
-
Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while mixing until the sauce reaches a smooth, silky consistency and won’t absorb any more oil.
-
-

💡 Notes & Uses
-
Use pistou just like pesto:
-
Tossed with pasta
-
Drizzled on grilled veggies or meats
-
Swirled into soups or stews
-
Spread onto sandwiches or toast
-
-
For a twist, add a little grated Parmesan or lemon zest just before serving.
