BISCUITS AND GRAVY BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

Ingredients:

  • 1 package refrigerated biscuits (8 count)
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 package peppered gravy mix (2.3 ounces)
  • 1 pound sausage (any flavor)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Cut the biscuits into small pieces, about 4 pieces per biscuit.
  4. Layer the biscuit pieces, sausage, and cheese in the prepared baking dish.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the biscuit, sausage, and cheese layers.
  7. Prepare the gravy according to package directions.
  8. Pour the gravy over the egg mixture.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the eggs are cooked through.
  10. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Tips:

  • You can use any flavor of sausage you like.
  • You can also add other ingredients to the biscuit layers, such as chopped vegetables or herbs.
  • If you want a thicker gravy, you can add a cornstarch slurry to the gravy before pouring it over the egg mixture. To make a cornstarch slurry, whisk together 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of water.
  • Serve with your favorite sides, such as hash browns, fruit salad, or toast.

Enjoy!
