- 1 dash cayenne pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Topping
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne pepper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the cheese.
- Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
- While the biscuits are baking, combine the melted butter, parsley, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
- Brush the butter mixture over the hot biscuits as soon as they come out of the oven.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Tips:
- For fluffier biscuits, make sure to use cold ingredients and don't overmix the dough.
- If you don't have cayenne pepper, you can substitute 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
- You can also add other ingredients to the biscuits, such as chopped herbs, spices, or cooked vegetables.
- Serve the biscuits with your favorite sides, such as soup, chili, or gravy.
